  • Hi Guys,

Kadiston, glad you had a good time in London <3 !

Another use up to declare, one of my Olay Eye Pods, really like them and think they do make a difference, there is a surprising amount of cream in each pod and I make sure I squeeze each and every drop out and use any excess around my lips etc. I decided to give the Argan Oil shampoo and conditioner a go and so far so good, smells lovely and my hair is soft and healthy looking.

Started 'running' two nights ago, well by running I mean slow jog/brisk walk/stagger/stumble. I have never been a runner in my life but am determined to give this a good go and have quite enjoyed it so far.

Have a great, if somewhat soggy, weekend all

    Morning all!
Kadison it sounds like you had a wonderful time. I'm happy for you! Tell us more about this prank…

I am going to ask if he minds me leaving a few bits at his place (just toiletries basically, that will fit in a large toiletry bag) but I'm going to take two suitcases and make out they're really heavy, then when he goes to carry them in for me (he's a gent like that), he'll realise what's going on.

The old jokes are often the best! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

It was a bit heatwave-ish yesterday here in the West but we had a cracking thunderstorm last night and the air is now a lot cooler.

    Hola Beauty Queens

It's blinkin' roasting here in the West Mids, the sun is intermittent but it's so muggy, I really felt rather ill at work :( Not helped by the fact DH text me from Lords to say how hot he was -- try cleaning non stop for four hours in it, matey  :p

I have been gifted a No7 coupon so in going to buy their HCC to try next, using the nspa one just now and I won't be repurchasing. I'll try my best to leave the £3 off cosmetics portion untouched but no promises :D

Feeling less bleurgh now I'm showered so time to reapply my slap and collect DS2 for the last time until September. SCHOOL'S OUT!

Just wondering what your thoughts are?

If I follow this most of my make up would be gone :o! :/ I'm thinking I do need to go through and be harsh though... Should I follow their times?
I used a perfume the other day definitely gone off! I smelt horrid :( (thankfully it was only a cheap next one bought in a sale but still....oops!)

Pixtotts, truthfully I think it's a load of old rubbish put out there by the beauty industry to make us buy more!
I use my eyes and nose and if it looks and smells fine then I won't throw it.
I have lippies years old and they are still fine.
I think the only exception I would make was if I had an eye infection, then the mascara would get thrown. Ditto if I suffered from cold sores (thankfully never have).

Pixitotts - I agree with Clutterfree about this. Like you, almost all of my make-up would be gone if I followed these rules! I just wouldn't be able to afford to replace it!

I have v old Urban Decay liquid liners and use them until they dry up. No way am I binning them!

Powdered products (especially eyeshadows) seem to be ok forever. I'm more cautious with foundation but rarely have to chuck it - if it has separated or smells off then I'd bin it.

I do take care of my perfumes though. I keep them in their boxes most of the time, make sure they're not in direct sunlight and once they are past the halfway mark I prioritize using them up. (I read that the perfume starts to degrade once there is more air than perfume in the bottle. Not sure if it's true :rotfl:) Having said all that, the ones that I'm using at the mo are out of their boxes so they're easy to use but they're in a dark spot and they get rotated fairly frequently. If the perfume is really special to me then it stays in the box even when in use. It's a shame as I love the bottles but I want to be able to use every drop :)

It's baking hot here. We had spectacular storms about around 3am. I got up to sit and watch the lightening :D

ETA it's probably more important to use clean make-up brushes than anything else. I'm not great at this...

It's bloody boiling here! I went out in the sun at lunchtime, spent most of my time in the shade, but sat in the sun for half an hour, applied factor 50 before and my shoulders are still pink!
    No more goo hoarding!
