Hey
I'm a big big fan of the Argan oil stuff!! (only thing I don't like is the mask just didn't seem to make any difference to me, not like other brands conditioning masks have). I will warn you it is quite a heavy one though, which personally I really like, I think my hair really needed it, my hair knots stupidly easily and has been through a lot of abuse, the Argan oil seemed to really improve it and make it easier to brush, and nice and shiny
I'm really fickle when it comes to shampoo and conditioner but we used the Argan oil one from end of Sept when I started until about 2 months ago, so really long time for me.
We've just switched to the Avon Naturals super straight honey and jojoba one which is also excellent! I'd say it has the same sort of properties as the Argan oil one, only it feels a bit lighter.
I still use the Argan oil serum stuff though, comes in a glass bottle too, I don't know why but I really like that lol.
I'd definitely recommend giving them a go! We were impressed with it

The oil is very good. I've just run out so I'm using up other products now but I have noticed my hair is frizzier and less shiny.
Is this the oil you're both referring to.

Mine certainly doesn't smell like that. Think it might have gone off.
That's it. Pulling all my LE stuff out and using up before I have to throw anything else out.
My own fault really as I have had it a while :mad:Did owe £9,951.96

Eek - what does yours smell like?
All packaging now must have a date reminder on them - it's a little symbol of a pot with a number in the middle - this tells you how long the product will last once opened.

Hi everyone,
Not sure if anyone really recognises me as I hardly ever post on this thread.......this is mainly because I am so bad at sticking to the no buying toiletry thing and so am too ashamed to claim my IN's lol!
Anyway, I do read this thread everyday and feel as if I kind of know you all which sounds daft really, but true all the same. Just wanted some comfort after the weekend of hell that I've just had so I hope you don't mind me gate crashing for a bit.......with a non toiletry story too lol!
On Friday at 11.00am I had a phone call from school telling me to come in straight away as my thirteen year old son had suddenly gone blind!!! As you can imagine I panicked and drove like a lunatic to be with him. He was sitting with a teacher in the school office and when he heard me he started crying. I comforted him and said that everything would be ok and took him to the GP. He examined him straight away and told me I had to go straight to eye casualty hospital an hours drive away. We went home briefly to get some things and so that he could change his clothes because he was still in his PE kit. Sorry forgot to mention that he had been playing football when it happened but he didn't have any injuries whilst playing and no tackles at all so a complete mystery as why he should suffer complete visual loss in both eyes for no reason! He says he was walking back to the changing room with his friend when everything just went black. Anyway off we went in the worst driving conditions possible and eventually managed to find one parking space in the hospital carpark.
After seeing an eye doctor he said that he should have an MRI scan but to try not to worry because his pupils were reacting to light. By now it was 1.00pm and so his eyesight had gone for 2 hours so far. I remained very strong throughout for his sake when inside I was a quivering mess making deals with god about how he could take everything I own so that my son could have his eyesight back. Anyway to cut a long horrible story short about 4.00pm I left him to rest and told him to try to get some sleep whilst I just nip to the hospital shop down the corridor to get him some treats. When I came back he had slept for 5 minutes or so and when he woke he had recovered slight vision! He could see black and white shapes and outlines of things. OMG the relief of hearing this news was overwhelming and thankfully within an hour he could see again. Due to many doctors contradicting each other we didn't get the scan that day! We spent the night in hospital and yesterday he eventually had a CT scan which showed everything was ok. He also had blood tests done (only because I insisted). We were allowed home last night and I'm so pleased to say that he is in perfect health and playing his games online with his friends as I type :j
We have to be back in hospital by 9.00am tomorrow for more visual tests and will get the blood test results then too.
I'm sorry for the long post......be thankful.... it could have been much longer lol! I don't normally post anything personal about my life but just felt the need to get it off my chest. I hope you don't mind after all this has nothing to do with toiletries. Friday was the WORST day of my life so far and my husband and I have never felt so stressed and worried. I keep on asking my son if he's ok and can he still see properly as I'm petrified it will go again
This just goes to show that there are no guarantees in life. I'm just so grateful that his sight came back! He has had to wear glasses full times since the age of 3 and has a very strong prescription bless him.
Right off now to give him ANOTHER big hug
Hugs
Has he had an eye test since?
The reason I ask is My dad had temporary vision loss one day last year which his doctor thought was a migraine. He thought all the vision had come back until he had an eye test 6 months later where he found he had lost the lower quadrant in one of his eyes. Because his vision compensated he had no idea. His optician immediately referred him to the eye hospital.
His turned out to be a stroke due to a clot which obviously is highly unlikely to be the case for your son due to age factors etc and because he's already had a scan so I'm not trying to be alarmist. I just think if they didn't do it at hospital it may be well worth him having a full vision test at the opticians to check his vision is back to normal. It was the test for field of vision test that showed it up for my dad.
I was about to say I have no ins but I just realised I do
Collection blonde brow definer - it's not as nice as the maybelline for colour but it doesn't break constantly and is £2.500 -
Hi All,
Can't often say I'm looking forward to Mon morn and work but I am after an awful wknd!! Pleasures of a commitment phobe/severe OCD type OH  Anyway, came to declare some UU so I digress. July has got off to a good start challenge wise at least:
Percy & Reed No Oil Oil - my hair is wretched without this, already replaced
Elemis PCMC - more in the stash
Balance Me Radiance Oil x 2 - Ebayed although hardly worth the bother for what I got but wasn't using them
L'Oreal Preference Conditioner - more in stash
Bomb Cosmetics Strawberry Cheesecake Soap - nicest one of their products I've used in a while but it always surprises me how quickly one of these soft type of soaps disappeared, this was such a big slice too. Must confessed I binned the last small piece as the bitty cheesecake base was getting on my nerves going all over the white bath....
Only IN so far some more hair oil, I have had some retail therapy today but that was clothes x0 -
Hi all,
Been abit MIA this week as we've been decorating DS bedroom and it's been such a nightmare...the joys of an old house!
I've also been getting into Game of Thrones and you know what it's like when you get addicted to a box set!
No UU's this week, although i'm very close to using up my Lancome bi-facil eye make-up removerLove this product but i'm going to try to use up the Nivea one i've got first and then see how I feel about repurchasing. It's just abit pricey for eye make-up remover!
Hugs to Honey72 i'm not surprised that you thought it was the worst day of your life that must have been truly terrifying. Really glad your DS has got his vision back.0 -
Does anyone in here dye their hair funky colours?
I'm brunette, henna'd brunette (but lush henna so apparently it's not so bad) but I kind of want to bleach the ends and dye them green... or maybe the whole lot... not sure how brave I am... anybody have any tips?
This is why my hair was so unhappylol
x
I've had loads of funky colours (including green) but I know that you can't dye or bleach over henna unfortunately. Everything I've ever read about it says that you have to grow it out. You might want to talk to a hairdresser about it.No more goo hoarding!
