Hotel room safes

On holiday, I will be taking my tablet which I will be using for reading books and playing offline games. I read a lot on holiday and the weight of the tablet is 2 books

Are the room safes big enough for tablets? It's 9 inches diagonally.

If not, I will buy a lock for my suitcase.

I will only use the tablet within the hotel and keep the charger and cables for my phone, iPod and tablet hidden when out of the room.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Usually room safes are bigger than you need, so no problem.

Suitcase locks are a complete waste of time.

Agreed about suitcase locks just don't forget the safe code, I've spent many an hour on my hands and knees shouting "IT IS NOT THE WRONG CODE YOU W****R"
at safes from China to Colchester.

Safes come in all different sizes but I've never seen one that was too small to take a tablet.

I never lock my suitcase even when flying. If you do then it's just an indication that there is something in there worth pinching.

I was not going to lock the suitcase on the flight as have valuables in hand luggage!

Are they easy to change your code? Won't have an issue of forgetting my code as be using a parent's birthday.

Just be careful where you use your tablet. Don't be 'flaunting' it at the pool side in front of everyone.

The less other holiday makers know what you have brought with you, the better.

    Should fit in safe fine.

Most safes the items will fit in, as the ones in the room tend to be the larger size, during my travels the only one prob with safes I had was in Goa, it was tiny I couldn't it kindle in there, but anywhere else got everything but the kitchen sink in there xx

out of my last 6 holidays, only one safe had a code, the rest were either a key on a keyring or key plus barrel, and each safe was large enough to lay my holiday paperwork, A4 size, flat on the bottom and they were at least 10inches between top and bottom.

so why not keep chargers and cables in there too
Corduroy pillows are making headlines! Back home in London now after 27years wait! Duvet know it's Christmas, not original, it's a cover.

Most force you to choose the code each time you lock if unless its within a few seconds after unlocking it.

I've never had one too small for an ipad, the one in dubai was big enough to fit our cabin suitcase in plus had power inside the safe for charging things up whilst they're inside (if desired)

How safe is a room safe? I haven't posted any links, but they're there!

I get annoyed if I'm staying in a hotel, and at about 1100 I come back to the room for something I've forgotten, and the maid has got half a dozen doors next to/near ours wide open.
She can only work in one room at a time, and most thieves are in and out a couple of seconds.
