How to clean hairs out of a popup washbasin plug?

My washbasin is very slow at draining so I suspect it's getting clogged with hair, how do I get the pop up plug out?

From time to time I put hair removal cream on the plug hole and leave it for about half hut then pour boiling water down it

If it's a pop-up controlled by a rod it more than likely just a lift out.
If it's a click-clack then it should unscrew.

That's 90% of the time - there are always exceptions :(

If you are going to use any form of drain cleaner some are very acidic/caustic, they have to be. Ensure you pour it through a funnel so that nothing comes in contact with the chrome plating etc.
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

get a bamboo skewer like you use for making kebabs on the bbq,

Slide it in in and twist clock wise till you feel resistance then slowly lull out the blockage works great for shower traps and kitchen sink traps as well :)
If it doesnt pay rent sell it.

It's the click - clack type, I think I've got one of the one of the 10% that don't unscrew!
