When for comes home I'd quite like to take the dogs out to test their new collars somewhere specific away from home, but their are groups of quite intimidating youths there. ( how embarrassing is it to be put off by kids in cars). On Monday's this walking spot gets cleaned up after the weekend and I once went and its really not nice .....

Reminds me how not rural idyll we are since our move east :(

But, I'm wondering whether I might gird my loins to test the collars. ( or mr blue as I have told them the new collars are called).

These must be super-yoofs in your area, because all the yoofs I know would be intimidated by an Irish Wolfhound, not the other way around.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Oops! I took Doglet on the tube and forgot to carry her on the escalator. :o

I wouldn't think twice about taking her in a lift. Just walk in, and the dog follows. It's just a small room.

    She likes going on buses.

Kiwi really was not impressed by the small part I think. But he liked the woman in the lift with us and smelled her flowers.

I wonder why doglet likes the bus but not cars? Its not motion sickness then?

On the bus, she goes to see the other passengers to see whether they have ***FOOD***.

Plus our car does not have somewhere she can sit or stand. So, she's not comfy. An estate car might be different.

    Oh, the dogs aren't intimidated!

In the dark of course no one knows she's a wolfhound till she's there. , I admit it did feel incredibly safe walking a pack of wolfhounds. :D.

Um, are you putting her in the boot:eek:

Cannot she have something on the back seat so she can see out and something to chew? On a throw so it can be whipped out to keep back seat clean....or do you have a two seater?

Big dog is quite a little big dog, as others will be able to confirm. For a start she's a girl, and she's from a small line. ;) but she weighs enough. About 70 kg ATM. :(

Hmm, we've never tried anything like that. The back seats are a bit small. And the leather upholstery is slippery for a dog. And she can't see out, as you said. She's just unhappy.

The bus is better. There's more room. It doesn't jerk as much.

Hmm. I might be alright driving you from the station after all. Or have London bus drivers improved again? :D. Out of Town, anyway, cars are way smoother usually! Er, depending who is driving.

Upholstery...turtle mat with a dog bed/ vet bed or non slippy throw over it. If you aren't fussy about appearance I have old vet bed I could give you? ( that stuff never dies). RP uses vet bed over a rubber grippy cellular sheet thing bought specially. I think its less good and more dear, but you get the idea. :)

I think it is strange that although Aus is so similar to the uk you could look at that photo andediately think it was probably not two British students.

    .

Its like identifying the nationality of tour groups, especially kids, in tourist hot spots.

Your comment reminded me of a sequence of pictures I have of fir where not only does he not look much like himself, but I can never quite decide from where. Usually I think American.

He's tasting a popcorn recipe I made up ( cannot remember what) and I just kept clicking because his facial expressions where cartoonish and hilarious, Then I sent them to his sister and one of our best friends.
