In the middle of winter I'll also wear my classy joggers in bed.

It is no surprise that I am single! :)

As it is apparently time for true confessions, I wear socks to bed. Otherwise, my feet feel cold. They are usually not actually cold, so it must be a nerve thing. They just feel cold. It started when I started taking statins, so it may be a little known side effect or just a coincidence. Anyway, I just live with it as a minor inconvenience. A lot less of an inconvenience than a heart attack.

Is night shivers to do with being cold or caused by muscles going into spasm due to not being able to relax?

I saw this and thought of PN but I think she may have one already?

I'll get one of those as we need an extra light in the cellar.

Yes, I've got to admit I thought it might have less to do with being cold.

But when the room temp isn't under your own control I guess it might also be cold in there too?

Feeling cold may not be about the room temperature, but wrapping up warmer can help all the same. When I am ill or overtired, I always feel much colder than is reasonable for the room temperature, but putting on extra layers (either on me on or the bed) helps.

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

My Doberman was docked. At eighteen months I didn't get much say in it. ;) I'm guessing my stance on docking when its not necessary is predictable.;)

I also detest seeing docked ( illegal for a long time in uk) or short banged horses, ( unfashionable in uk now usually) even more so tbh.

I've got more done today than for ages.

Getting out side just reminded me how much there is to do!

I took last opportunity for a while to cut some docks that had resisted the professionals touch this year. It reminds me when I am out there that while I don't feel we get a lot done its looked a lot worse while I took this year pretty much off. :(

We planted five cobnuts slips, which we intend to let grow into trees, rather than hedgeing, though we also plan some hazel hedging. We transplanted some reeds,

And I've just potted up the last of my pelargoniums ( still very reduced in number from when kiwi was a puppy).

Oh, and the fencing this morning .

Fir got quite a lot of strimming done and we're trying to decide what to tackle next weekend. We're so lucky to have so much activity to choose from!

Having mentioned the flame thrower recently I'm quite keen to get the banks of the muck heap cleared. It will look awful for a while, but we want to plant trees on one side and a sort of soft fruit garden on the other. We're not quite sure how we'll do soft fruit on top of rubble humps on a shoe string but there must be a way. I can think of ways if we had money to throw at it!

Because I use an electric blanket I find wearing anything to bed delays getting warm, best to get in, and be skin to warmth quickest :)

Recent years I have often taken next days thermals into bed though, so they are warm to put on in the morning, not coldly waiting out in the room!

I've got a bigger/garden light... I've no intention of going into the shed in the dark .... ever. Especially not now. It's bad enough going into sheds in daylight!
