I always wished my birthday was in August - never at school on a birthday and the weather's likely to be warm/dry, maybe even hot.

    Winter birthdays suck.

Both my siblings had summer holiday birthdays.... makes for a better party as the kids invited for tea could usually play outside in the garden, in the sun, rather than being cooped up in the dark.

We are going on holiday on Friday. OH is suspicious enough about the whole concept of English seaside fun, without any help.......

May prove to be a wise choice, Icelandic volcano ash warning moved up a grade for the weekend.

I think everything is conspiring to mess with our holiday plans this year!

I thought that was over/done with years ago, 1-2 months after it happened!

Mine's pretty good - end of March - usually school holidays, but no chance of public exams and so forth. OH's sucks, his birthday is on Boxing Day, so wintery, cold, and no-one cares after Christmas, anyway.

June 17th and May 9th (my sisters' birthdays, and Isaac's too) sound good, but you can end up having an A level or GCSE exam on your birthday, which is a barrel of laughs.

Oh dear! First Israel, then flying in general....

Let's hope we get our frost-free August beach holiday.

I'm afraid that we had a food poisoning lecture at uni once that left us all questioning food so much we wondered if we could only consume freshly boiled water and then only if we'd watched it being boiled.:(

    I've been Money Tipped!
Dogs and I went to look at the blackberries here this morning. They are staring to ripen now, but not the best ones yet. The dogs were pleased though. Dog dog had her little head in the brambles delicately picking away, but it was obviously hurting big dogs neck, as she was asking me to pick them for her. I have ordered another month's supply of pills but I think October might be the month, she is lovely and bouncy and this is her very favourite time of year....apple, berry and plum time of year. :)
