HID nearly left me we I made her get rid of her chaise, although I must say the living room looks a lot tidier without her lounging around on the thing.'In nature, there are neither rewards nor punishments - there are Consequences.'0 -

Aus has a pretty rubbish train service although it's better than it used to be.
Originally, each state decided what rail gauge they wanted. Victoria and New South Wales decided on different gauges so you had to get off the NSW train in the night and walk to the VIC one or vice versa.0 -

I think here the best option might be two 2-seaters..... I really don't know. It'll come to me at some point
I agree. An armchair takes up too much space. We have a 3 + 2 in the main lounge.
TV room has a 2 and a swivelling round seat that fits 2 but only if they are a friendly 2 (is that what you guys are calling a love seat?)chewy wrote:an integral chaise lounge

We have a Dyson, but it is too heavy for me to carry up and down the stairs (it pulls on the adhesions on my chest) so I have recently been coveting a lightweight Vax hoover my SiL has. No miele here..
At one time, we had two Henry vacuum cleaners, to avoid carrying them up and down so much. One stored on the top floor, and one on the ground. Unfortunately, one died, so now we have one.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
We had a house once with a built in vacuum, you just plugged the hoses into the wall.
It was absolutely useless !!!'In nature, there are neither rewards nor punishments - there are Consequences.'0 -
Two vacuums are a life saver.
What DH and I had been contemplated was getting a Henry ( better for the rougher brick dust / logs coming in type work) and then a sebo when the last Miele had died. So we had two very different sorts of machines.
Henry's ( which we had at the flat ) just aren't as good with animal hair and fine work as mieles, but they are troopers, but last Miele has been disappointment.0 -
Hmm... bit of an odd one that. That might be hard to place in a lot of rooms too.0
