Zalando: WARNING can't unsubscribe from emails

Warning ref zalando.co.uk.
A couple of weeks ago I was looking for replica England shirts for my son (yeah I know but this was a couple of weeks ago!). I saw a deal on HDUK for an away shirt at £28 at zalando. Went for it, added the item to my basket, was trawling around looking at other items to add to get the £10 discount for subscribing to the newsletter, then got called away for 30 mins so didn't check out immediately. By the time I came back the price of the shirt in my basket had gone up to £60. This was on the very day the World Cup kicked off.
Naturally I didn't go through with the order and sent an email to the customer service team to ask why the price had jumped back up from the discounted rate before I had a chance to check out. Got a pro-forma reply, prices always subject to change etc etc, not addressing my questions at all, but thought no more of it, chalking it down to experience. Since then I've had promotional emails from them and have been trying to unsubscribe. The gmail unsubscribe request failed. Numerous attempts to go through the links in their emails and on the zalando website have also resulted in a "Request failed" message. I have emailed their customer service people again but I don't hold out much hopes of a sensible reply given previous experience.
All I can do is label their emails as JUNK and wait for my gmail to trash them, but it does make me wonder about how far such companies are willing to go using such underhand tactics.

The unsubscribe option works for me. Have you tried using a different browser?
As for the email reply regarding the price change, what more did you want them to say?0 -

They they were going to honour the original price since I already had the item in my basket. When you go to a real shop and pick up a sale item, when has the SA ever told you "The price of this item has just gone up by 200% so that's what you have to pay now". No? Didn't think so.£2 Savers Club 2016 #21 £14/£250

Prices can change in 'real' shops as well. If the price has not been updated on the tag then you will be advised of the new price at the till, they would not be bound to sell at the earlier price.
Your expectations are completely unrealistic. Prices can change online all the time, they are not bound to honour an earlier price just because you messed around for half an hour.0
