Thanks for all the feedback !
Just read on TCB that I have 100 days to question the withdrawn cashback via TCB. So that option is still there. I will wait to see what PO comes back with first .
I just want to know if ANYONE has been successful with this deal!
If I am I will certainly post the outcome here

It was discussed in another thread, though the issue with the post office is that it's just a brand name for bisl (aka budget).

Being cheap isn't the be all of it when it means having a policy from budget!

martin1777 - to answer your question, yes I received the offer for two sets of insurance, but can only remember/ check the second lot! I paid £124 for house and contents insurance, got £40 (and 400 shares) on iMutual cashback, and a really good discount (£92 or so) with their own cashback offer. So an £8 profit.

The problem if there was one on the first insurance was that I only returned the actual one sheet of the renewal form. You have to send absolutely everything to them. Bit of a squash in the envelope. Sorry, I can't remember if I eventually got it or not.

But I did get both iMutual cashback and the PO cashback for sure on the second insurance. The policy is underwritten by Ageas.

Is it only me that finds it odd that iMutual is a Limited Company

@dacouch: doesn't bother me. I go for whoever does the best cashback. If there are shares (and I'm sure there is something that answers this in the T&C's, but I'm unwell and really cannot look at the moment). Nevertheless, I go for the best cashback, and always had good redemption.

Hi dacouch. Yes, that's right. We're structured as a plc rather than a formal "co-operative". There are several reasons for this, including the fact that cooperative structures tend to be more restrictive and enforce a "one member, one vote" structure; the imutual model aims to reward members with shares in proportion to their usage of the site. PLC status also makes it easier to either sell the business or float on the stock exchange if the members should choose to in the future.

There is indeed an FAQ on this which gives a more detailed explanation - see Why is imutual a PLC rather than a co-operative?

But if you have any follow-up questions, feel free to ask :)

Post office car insurance save £50 and get ripped off,
First they will tell you you have not declared something then when you have written to your former insurance company and sent it off, you will be £20 down, then they will ask for proof from CUE, this will cost you another £10 now your £30 down, after sixty days you will wonder why you haven't had your refund, naturally you will phone or write you will then be told there is nothing on there register that you have bought their Insurance and to resubmit your renewal from your former insurance company, by now you're another £15 down on recorded delivery charges, now you will send all the information off to be told they will investigate which could take Eight weeks, with photocopying, stationery. and your time you will be about £80-£90 down so think about that when you're told they will beat your renewal Quote by £50, what a pack of morons, and to add insult to injury they will blatantly lie to you,
