    It doesn't add up, no.

Maybe as it's illustrative it's not meant to add up but would make more sense if it did.

Just wait until you actually get a statement. Their new My Ovo has a problem with its Transactions page where they manage to account for the Online Discount twice, once in the statement and once in the list of transactions.

I've finally managed to get them to see that this is what is happening after being told there is no fault a few times!

I just looked at the transactions page and discovered a strange £93 debit at the start of June, there's no way I used that much energy in one month, and I've given meter readings when asked so it makes no sense.

I take it you haven't had a statement as yet?

Does the £93 debit say what it's for? At the very top right hand corner of the Transactions page there is a My Balance - it's above the transactions balance. Does both of those balances agree?

Nothing agrees, the balance on Transactions in the top right is £126.31 (presumably credit) and the balance on the top line of the table is £134.28 (credit?), while the balance on the illustrative statement is £73.22cr.

All very confusing, and I'm usually good with numbers! And no, I joined at the start of April and haven't had a proper statement yet.

Curious, it seems something went wrong with the June "statement", I just found this:

    Invoice
We had a problem when generating your statement for June 2014. That's why we issue an invoice first, and will review your payment to be sure you're charged the correct amount.

I'll see what happens in the next few days, maybe it'll fix itself.

Forget the illustrative statement. It's not based on your actual account in any way.

The balance on the top right - ie £126.31 is the correct one and should also match the My Balance in the main dashboard.

The balance on the top line of the table comes about because they have included your Online Discount twice - it seems to be £7.91 for you? Do your discounts in the transactions page come to that?

You're having the same problem that I have been complaining about since April with their new My Ovo. I have only just managed to get them to confirm there is a problem and that it's the discounts being applied twice. I have been speaking to around 5 people about this so far.

Have you had a proper statement as yet?

    Yep I've had that too.

With my Dad's account they have had to "fix" his statement twice now and he's only had 3! With my account it's had to be "fixed" once.

I think I've worked out the £93, that would have been one month's gas and two months electric as they took a while to sort it out. I wish these things were easier to keep track of!

Yes, the £126.31 is the balance on the main dashboard, which makes more sense. I can't wait to get a real statement so I know what's going on! I hope things will improve, I've never had trouble with any energy supplier in 20+ years and I can't afford to switch from Ovo!

The real statement should make more sense but keep an eye on it and make sure it's correct.

Now that they have finally confirmed there is an issue with the new transactions page, they might actually get it fixed!

If you have a smartphone or tablet, I suggest you use the Ovo Energy app as it's correct and much more simple to follow.
