Any experience of holiday pirates

Just been browsing the website after someone at work told me that they had got an amazing all inclusive deal for Cuba leaving in three weeks time.
They certainly have very impressive deals from city breaks in Europe to long haul all inclusive to the Caribbean.
Has anyone had any experience of using holiday pirates, good or bad?
I'm almost always of the opinion that if something seems too good to be true it usually is..

o Their website is hosted in Germany 144.76.44.26
o Their contact page is just form to fill in, no email, no post address, no phone no.
o Their facebook info confirms that they are based in Anschrift, Germany.

Be careful out there.0 -
Thomas cook sell a lot of packages to Cuba, check their prices against holiday pirates. The name puts me off to start with, never mind anything else about them.0

They are just a deal finding site, similar to travelzoo. Your holiday booking will be with a 3rd party. Holiday Pirates get a commission.
They sometimes find some good long haul flight prices ex Europe to Caribbean and South America.0 -
Thanks guys. Kind of what I thought. It'll be interesting to see how my work mate gets on with her holiday. It's her first time to use them!0

Anschrift is the German word for address0 -
I've "used" holiday pirates several times. All they do is find the deals, and tell you which websites to buy them from. Think of them is a sort of HotUKDeals of holidays/flights.0

It's no different to the deals section of MSE. Just links to good deals. They have hearing on how your holiday goes. They provide no part of your holiday.0

So, it's basically a deals finder then? If that's the case then I will keep them in mind for the future. They certainly have some great offers.
Thanks for all the replies.0 -

Thanks. When you've followed through on the 'deals' have you found them to be what was actually advertised on the HP website?
For example, I get the secret hotels email daily. On practically every occasion I have gone in to the calendar to select the sale price/date advertised, it's not there, but the next band up is, which is always more expensive!!0 -
Yes I've found the deals are there when clicking through to the holiday provider but it's always exactly what they state, no more no less, and usually gone pretty quickly.:A:A:A:A:A:A0
