Thank you Darren_F, but our insurance company use Swish for this sort of work, not sure if a local company would be OK for them. Our double glazing was fitted by AllSaints Dereham, and if I had a choice, I would call them first.0

There is no exclusion for "acts of god" on insurance, it's a myth.
Act of God -v- insurance does apply but its for third part claims - ie you claim off your neighbours home insurance when tiles from their roof come off in a storm and damage your car. They will say it was an act of God and not negligence and so there is no liability.
As said, there is no act of God exclusion on first party claims0
