It's seems to be worse than that. Just asking POPLA to check that the contract is valid will trigger that libel claim. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

At least the full contract would be on public display.0

Would they have a reputation that could be damaged?0

D1str1ct Enfarcement are another one who like to accuse appellants of libel - one lady was ALLEGEDLY accused of it for suggesting in her POPLA appeal that their self-ticketing regime might not be in accordance with the BPA Code and asking for strict proof of compliance & training of the security guy/ticketer.
She wasn't allowed to share any documents with anyone as they said they'd sue her if she did, but she won the POPLA appeal on other grounds which made me laugh.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Looks like Devere like to lie like Parking Eye.
So sue me for typing that Devere."The darkest places in hell are reserved for those who maintain their neutrality in times of moral crisis." - Dante Alighieri0 -
The ludicrous claims they come out with reminds me so much of this Rowan Atkinson sketch

About time our local paper (Bournemouth Daily Echo) got their teeth into this lot.
Devere do seem to be up there with the nastiest PPCs plying their, er, trade at the moment.Bournemouth - home of the Mighty Cherries0 -
Other PPCs try & throw their weight about when submitting evidence packs to POPLA with threats that the information is provided in confidence & should not be shared with any other party. All bluster & bollox of course as a POPLA appellant does not enter into any sort of binding confidentiality agreement when submitting their appeal. If PPC contracts are not fit for public gaze then chances are they have something to hide.0

Also, they forget that the best defence against libel is that it is true. (Wilde v Queensbury). You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0

It's simple, Devere are liars and full of crap. Just like every other ppc in the uk! Now if they feel I'm being unfair and libelling their company, then the blog by prankster is quite clear on the lie , they sign a contract for a non existant company, that is lying !When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.
