I'm back, lost the plot for a while, but after reading a couple of diaries (will finish yours tonight) decided to start again. Nothing in my emergency fund as had a holiday, August birthdays lots of them, and then school uniform for our grandson who lives with us, so back to zilch, but moving forward, listening to the Power and calling abundance from all directions.
Over to your diary now to see how you have been doing, wasn't meaning to ignore you.Because someone we love is in Heaven There is a little piece of Heaven in our Home :A

Not heard of Dave Ramsey before, so will have to google him.
It might be worth your while posting an SoA for some detailed advice.
Also worth looking at the old-style board as well.Never Knowingly Understood.

Thanks Patman will look into doing a SOA and on the old-style board. Dave Ramsey is good, can be a bit much sometimes but I usually have a listen to peoples Debt Free Scream and it motivates me a bit more.
Anyway today is a new start, have decided to keep a spending diary and see what is going out, our money is a bit higgledy, piggledy, bits here and there and lots going out and not much coming in, so spending diary it is and keep writing on the diary to keep myself motivated.
Have a lovely sunny day (it is here, hope it is where you are)Because someone we love is in Heaven There is a little piece of Heaven in our Home :A

So day 1 again, started spending diary and could believe I spent £63.40
Pocket money for GS £
Pictures bought for GS/GD £5
Cubs (scarf - 3rd one said he would have to pay himself
if he lost this one £3.50
Cub subs £30 (for term)
Didn't feel like I was spending anything when I was writing the cheques but some things have to be paid.
Good day in all, family round lots of noise and kiddie laughter.
Tomorrow is going to be a spendy one as well, arranged to go to London to meet some friends I used to work with but have already bought the ticket via Qui*dco/Tra*nline so only have drinks and lunch at a Wea*herspoons in the City, but only do it once a year, will try and budget for it next year.
Am trying very hard not to drink wine so much, a bottle goes down really easily now and was having a bottle a night, habit really, so that was £5.00 every night, so have decided to only have a bottle on a Saturday night (excluding tomorrow of course) saving me £30 a week but I don't seem to see it.Because someone we love is in Heaven There is a little piece of Heaven in our Home :A

So day off, today, had a great day in London with friends, didn't cost that much after travel I spent £20, that was lunch and drinks so a good time was had and not too guilty. OH hasn't been going to pub as we havn't got the money he says and now I feel guilty was going to meet my friend tonight, no drinking just catching up, don't know what to do, will think about that one.
Have just paid money into my account (well transferred from one to another so now have £30.83 which isn't much but better than £00.00 I had a few days ago, will work hard on getting my emergency fund together and then on the the credit cards/loan on the mortgage.
Must get round to doing an SOA but I know on paper we can afford to even pay the mortgage but somehow we seem to manage it every month, robbing peter to pay paul me thinks.
Hope you all have a lovely day, am doing overtime tomorrow and next Saturday so a bit extra in the kitty when I get paid.Because someone we love is in Heaven There is a little piece of Heaven in our Home :A
