So beats BT's [not very good] model and quite an upgrade on Panasonic's older model as we now have 50 blocks, number ranges (wildcards eg 01624****, international etc) and withheld.
The older models give unwanted callers an engaged tone now they'll be cut off -not sure that's an upgrade or not really but still impressive.
KX-TGH220E (1 handset)Smart call management
Panasonic’s range of DECT phones provides users with a variety of blocking options to provide complete control over unwanted calls. Each of Panasonic’s new cordless phones (excluding the KX-TGB210) features a Nuisance Call Block function that enables you to avoid frustrating telemarketers and expensive calls from abroad. Up to 50 individual numbers can be registered, with entire groups of numbers barred based on the first two to eight digits. The feature also allows rejection of calls when the caller’s number is withheld.
The ’Do Not Disturb’ mode is also available across the range (excluding KX-TGC220 and KX-TGB210 models) guaranteeing peace and quiet when you need it most. It also enables you to select the most important numbers of friends and family, ensuring they can contact you at any time, even when the ‘Do Not Disturb’ mode is switched on.
The KX-TGH220 and KX-TGE220 models also come with an advanced answering system, ideal for helping you manage your messages whether at home or away. When a new message is recorded, the base unit can either alert you with a sound, or send an audible message or SMS to a pre-registered mobile phone or office phone*.

No record of that model at Panasonic so I assume Argos have something wrong.0 -
I have the BT 6510. But it only blocks 10 numbers as well as the unknown, withheld and international.
I picked up a dedicated call blocker off ebay also and that can store 1000+ numbers.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
i have http://cprcallblocker.com/ in the first weeks of buying it i blocked 18 numbers. it also comes pre programmed with over 200 nuisance numbers.
the way the unwanted numbers come in thick and fast 50 would soon be used up.0 -

A step in the right direction I guess, but blocking specific numbers is not all that useful, they only account for about 13% of my spam calls.Stompa0

The call blocker also blocks all withheld/unobtainable/international/IP/Skype etc numbers.
So the only ones that get through have to have a proper UK number that they are using for the first time. (thereafter they are blocked if you press the button (or manually enter the number to the database)0 -
but the more basic/cheaper one would still do the same job.
the display also tells me how many times a blocked number has tried to phone me,so it definitely is doing its job0 -
