Goal: To be debt free by Oct' 31st 2016.

    Now debt free!!!
  • I started off with 20k at the beginning of this year!! I'm now down to 5k due to changing my lifestyle dramatically & having 2 extra jobs to pay for it all!! Hoping to have everything paid off by Xmas 2014
  • I owe £11,289 all in the 1 loan. It is due to end in December 2015 but I am going to try and use overpayments to get it finished by September 2015. The most I think my debts ever reached was about £14,500

  • Thanx guys!!! It's been a hard struggle!! I've had to sell my car to fund a massive chunk of my debt but my 2 extra jobs also fund it massively. It was either do what I'm doing now or I would of lost my hubby & family!!!

F&F settlements on your record won't help your cause as far as a mortgage is concerned.

Ordinarily I would agree, but my defaults drop off my file in 2 years, so I dont see what the issue would be.

At worst in 2011, debts were £33k +mortgage (another £90k at the time). That will be down to £14.5k when July's payments go through (+£75k mortgage). The DMP finishes next summer, but another 3-4 years for the CCJ to finish. So, about halfway through.
