I've just made a F&F Settlement offer for a CC Debt of £1600 for £9422. I know it wont be accepted, as they turned down my £950 offer recently, but I am hoping now that they see I can negotiate, hopefully they will and we can come to an arrangement. I'd like to be debt free by April next year.

I am selling pretty much everything I own making a lot of sacrifices, as I want to be back on the property ladder in 3 years.

Surely you wont get on the property ladder in three years. Those settlements will crucify your credit rating.

My credit rating is ruined anyway, but the earlier I get out of debt, the better chance I have at rebuilding it. My partner also has a very good credit rating.

Ateotd, I can do but try. I am sure some mortgage company will allow me to buy a house, as I plan on being debt free, and my defaults will have dropped off my file.

Have you asked them to stop the interest? Has the debt defaulted?

I have £25,000 worth of debts left (used to be a lot more, been paying debts for 17 years now!), I've never been on a DMP or other arrangement, I pay full interest on all of them all this time.

I have just been given a £25000 loan by Zopa a few days ago, I paid off EVERYTHING to the last penny, my monthly repayments as a result are now £600 LESS. HOWEVER, if I pay those £600 into the Zopa loan as extra every month then I'll be debt free 2 years from now :) that is my plan anyway.

well done to all us :)
