I am selling pretty much everything I own making a lot of sacrifices, as I want to be back on the property ladder in 3 years.

F&F settlements on your record won't help your cause as far as a mortgage is concerned.

Loan to my mum and dad who saved me from a crippling 35% interest currently stands at £880 but we are now paying £300 per month back so it's looking good and we should have paid that off by 1st September. Happy days. :T

  • Loan from Sainsbury's for £14,999 over 3 years, first payment was made in Feb this year. I would guess the settlement figure would be around £13k now.

That is it, apart from the mortgage which I will focus on when the loan is done!!

Keep going everybody, stick to your plan and the months fly by.

  • I'm about to start a DMP, can't see any other way of living without going onto one. Outstanding debt is at around £13,500 - hoping to pay off within 3.5years! Payment to Stepchange is around £322 a month. Hoping to move to a cheaper place to free up maybe a few hundred £. Was thinking about getting a new job, only on £7 an hour but more pay is more tax and I quite enjoy my job so I'd rather stick with it.

Was hoping to have bought a house by 26/27 but that is put back at least 5-10 years lol now!

Mine (excluding mortgage) is in my signature. Impossible to set a deadline for paying it off as my income fluctuates but it's consistently going in the right direction!
