    Yet another proof how toothless and worthless TS are in such situations. Possibly, they have to be as IMO it's business of FOS and courts, not TS.
  • Get in touch with the FSA or whoever and get them involved against the credit card company. Worth a try.

    FSA (or FCA) are irrelevant here, as Grumbler said the FOS / the courts that have power in such cases.

    If the credit card company declines the claim on the basis of a break in the Section 75 chain you could take it to the FOS, but not sure the likelihood of success, small claims court against the trader may be the better option.
