Hi I am transferring to BT from Talktalk...... cant wait.
What are the benefits etc.
I have free evening weekend calls through my home phone package at the moment is this seperate from the free evening weekend calls through the home hub phone?
With talktalk I could access my email remotely through the talktalk website can I do this with BT?

If you have free evening/weekend calls already the hub phone won't make any difference.
Regarding email, you cannot access your email from the BT website. When you get the hub you will also get the installation disc for your PC. This disc will install all the software you need for BT Broadband part of which will be the BT/Yahoo browser. You can use this to access your email or you can use any other web browser, internet explorer, firefox etc and go through Yahoo signing in using your BT email address.0 -

If your BT phone package is free evening/weekend calls then that won't change. I presume you are on option 2 which costs an extra £3.45 a month.
If you use BT Broadband Talk (the hub phone) evening and weekend calls are free for 1 hour. Anything over 1 hour is charged per minute. You can hang up and re-dial as many times as you like but this means keeping an eye on the clock so you don't go over the hour. Personally i have been charged a couple of times because i was that busy talking i hadn't reallised how long i had been on the phone for.
If you are going to use the hub phone you might as well change your landline calling plan to option 1 and save the £3.45 a month.0 -
The free calls is via your broadband line so you need to use the hub phone as your bb line has a separate number.0

I'm not sure how that compares with the standard rates.0
