Looking at getting a new car but the problem is that if you want the car soon ( and i do ) there will be a 4 month delay for the model i want with the leather seats. They come at an extra cost of £600....i do need them as being on the taxis you need to be able to wipe them down every day, and idea who will do them ?

What car/model is it. I'm sure if you ring around a few dealers you may be able to find one in the spec you want.

£600 for the factory to do it sounds cheaper that to have a interior place do it i can assure you.

if its a 4 month wait then cant you use your current vehicle im sure the dealer will know the mileage will set to increase if your using it part ex.

Have you thought of using incontinence pads or stopping when you get the urge? :rotfl:

I think I would fit after market seat covers.

£600 for the option is definitely going to sound cheap after you hear what a trimmer will charge you... But the main problem isn't the cost, it's the four-month delay, right? Any pre-reg available?

What car is it? Does it have to that specific car? Could you find an alternative model with leather seats as standard? What about after-market covers as suggested?

Don't get leather seats. Yes they look great but I have only had one car with leather seats and I found them too hot in summer and too cold in winter,

After spending the extra money for the leather seats my Oh decided that we had to buy seat covers to go over the leather, talk about throwing money away.

My present car is, a good compromise, it has leather around the seat edges and material in the centre.

Read the OP, the car is for taxi work, leather is FAR easier to clean than fabric, hence why he wants them
