Hi everyone i have a question regarding my tax credit renewal and the P60U
For the tax year been reviewed i did some work 2 months worth and have a p45 showing total ernings for that job which i have used for the figure in the employee income section of the renewal form.
Now the rest of the time was a stint on ESA Then the rest on JSA i have recived my P60U.
My question is is the figure on the P60U the total amount of all benifits i claimed in that year ie ESA and JSA?
Or is it just JSA?
I really need this info so i can complete the renewal form for my tax credits any advice would be apreceated.

Was the JSA/ESA contribution based or income based? If income based it can be ignored for tax credits. See http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/manuals/tctmanual/TCTM04400.htm0

Hi zagfles thanks for the response the ESA was contribution based and the JSA was income based.
So i have filled in my income details in part 2.2 (Earnings as an employee from all jobs) from when i worked
In part 2.1(Taxable scocial security benifits) should i put the ESA contribution based figure?
Now for the rest of the award period i was on income based JSA until the begining of this month.
Do i leave PART 1 1.1 Certain benifits ( if you were reciveing any of the following for the whole of the award periodshown on page 1 put an x in the approriate boxes) blank?
as i was not reciveing JSA IB for the whole award period0
