My girls brought forms home from school to fill in the other day. Just need to post them.0 -
If you have one handy, then IKEA do Kilner style jars for under a pound.0

There's a new Boot s App. I downloaded it the other day but have only just had a chance to look at it now. It's Fab!! I have 10 offers on mine, you just click the offer you want to redeem and it's uploaded to your advantage card. I have £3 off Revlon offer (no minimum spend), amongst others.
Definately worth having!0 -

i'm wondering if they do them in £shops?
If you don't mind second-hand and you want a freebie, I've noticed jars are quite often posted on my local freecycle, you could post a request?
I can't wait to see everyone's hard work this weekend! Hopefully it's not too warm as we'll all be sweating over our hot stoves
Quick jam-related question for rhosynbach when she's next around: how long do you boil your jam for, and does it change for each fruit? Because I remember boiling for AGES when making plum jam last year, but your recipe suggests a few minutes should be enough?
Now, it is possible that I overdid it slightly (:o) but it definitely wouldn't have been set if I'd done it for 10 minutes or less. Maybe I need to add less water? I was only following Delia's instructions, so I take no responsibility for the edible-ness of what I made :rotfl:0 -
But then as per t&c's it would have been restricted to £100 and their limit gone for the month.
I agree it doesn't say you can take stuff away free but it also doesn't say you can't if their system fails. All of these must have been checked as "over £15" but none cancelled and the Reeds still working.
Anyway, I am getting away from my main point which was the varied reactions different people get on this thread dependant on who you are.
I don't think they check them...they just say they might

Text from my dad who invaded England some years ago and hasn't returned
"Just got 3 shops costing - 0p, 20p and 16p. Woman on checkout was mad the staff hadn't been told. Thanx"
This is the first deal he's taken advantage of :beer:Apparently, everybody knows that the bird is [strike]the word[/strike] a moorhen0 -
Morning all.
I got a telling off at whoopsies last night
Had a handful of 5p yogurts in my basket (there was loads) and a woman said to me I'd never eat all them by the end of the day.
I said they'd be good till the end of the week and then I got a lecture about food poisoning
I don't think she appreciated me sniggering while she was talking because all I could think of was TS with her month out of date yogurt :rotfl:
Needless to say I've eaten one this morning and am showing no signs of keeling over :
Been in the food game for 13 years. No one in their right mind would argue that food one day past gives you food poisoning.
Any how if high risk/ ready to eat foods need to be stored correctly. In a fridge between 0- 5. No dripping raw meat around etc.
I eat food past it's date. I'm ok too. More likely food past it's date can change colour, grow mould etc. and you would know by looking.
Next time tell them to bogof.
Quite agree, hardly anything in out house is actually in date. Once had some yoghurt so long it grew pretty flowers on the top!! Had to give in on that one and chuck it out.
I still have some bottles of food colouring priced 2/11p, older methinks than a lot of the elite! Maybe if I hang on to them I might be able to sell them on ebay as vintage kitchenalia!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:essex girl in exile0 -
Still some 100% extra free and half price rockys out there
I saw full boxes in a few stores todayApparently, everybody knows that the bird is [strike]the word[/strike] a moorhen0 -
Why do I get the feeling I am going to end up buying glass jars :eek:When The Fun Stops Stop0

This has probably already been posted, but here's the July copy of the T magazine:
EDIT: link to coupons thread, I posted it there just in case, to save RF the job of deleting my post https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4906235
I couldn't see much exciting in the way of useful coupons, but it's worth keeping an eye on prices. The cookies, for example, are currently £1.99 each but would be a nice treat if they went to half price and the coupon was applied too0
