To do drinks on there, you select from the lower right something like 'other items' (can't remember what it says, but only a couple to choose from so you can't really go wrong) & one of the 2 options shows a drink at the front of the picture. You also need to select that you aren't adding it to the bag (you can't continue until you have done this).
They'll also say you have to spend £5 after vouchers to get you paper & the drink & paper don't count towards this. Self service is definitely the way to go.
i only got the waitrose card this week, so i am not so good with their offers. do they have special marks/ price tags where waitrose cards can be used?
i also have a2 milk voucher, which can be spent in Waitrose. So if i 'buy' milk (£1.99) and some hot drink ( free with W card ), would i need an assistant to approve newspaper deal?
ideas are welcome0 -
I think it does vary a bit, but a self service latte is £2 in mine. Voucher would need to be authorised (at least every store I've been to this is the case for all vouchers), but as long as you scan your W card, the discounts automatically come off. Although they normally look at the screen (panabello required them to put in the price as well), I've never had it questioned on SS.
Also you can't just scan your card, there is a button to choose on the screen, then you scan it. Scan it before the vouchers. You can't scan it after vouchers unless the SS bod takes the vouchers off, scans your card, then adds the vouchers again - lesson learnt, lol - I was trying to hide my paper, drink etc coming off.0 -
