There was a woman who lived by it used to come out and point a double barrelled shotgun at kids who went in the quarry :eek::eek: Can you imagine that happening now? Someone pointing a gun at your kids?? :eek: She was called Fanny as well, just to make it even funnier

Good Morning all,
When I was a child a couple of years ago
there was this old woman who served in a shop. She would always be sitting there with a scowl on her face as though she did n t want anyone especially kids buying things from her shop. She was rather frightening to say the least

This was our church in the village I lived in (Lowfield Heath) before Gatwick Airport bought up the whole area & made everyone move away

The church was the only building left & we attended Sunday School there.
I always remembered the story about the dog carved on the outside as it was run over & immortalized for ever on the church :A
