I tell you it's scary the stuff we did for amusement  OH and I were reminiscing recently about a salt quarry near us when we were kids. Obviously it was a draw for local kids because it was locked up and we shouldn't have been there.......so where else would we go? :D :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

There was a woman who lived by it used to come out and point a double barrelled shotgun at kids who went in the quarry :eek: Can you imagine that happening now? Someone pointing a gun at your kids?? She was called Fanny as well, just to make it even funnier :D:o :rotfl:

Oh that did make me snort :rotfl::rotfl:

Where I'm from is only small so everyone knew everyone, that didn't stop us though just made it a bit harder :p
I can remember getting a clip round the ear from my Granny on a few occasions :rotfl:

What was that game that involved lots of rubber bands knotted together? You used to have to land on a big string of linked up rubber bands.......I think :o
I was thinking about the double Dutch skipping rope game when I got a vague memory of that.

The knocking on doors and running away was called 'chap door run' where I was

Chinese ropes we used to call it :o played beds regularly, and "chappy" was knocking on doors and running away, though my OH calls it bang bang skoosh

I lived on the RAF base then, but I got sent to a local primary school (not sure why? :o ) rather than the primary school on base, but it was very small and local too.

We have been doing a lot of reminiscing this weekend. My daughter has a boyfriend *sigh* he's a bit older than her *double sigh*. Her Dad was quizzing her about him last night and she ran rings round him :o She asked him what age we met, what age we started going out and how my parents were towards him. He had to shut up then :o

    Oh dear!
I dread the day my DD comes home with a boyfriend! Especially if he's an older one, not exactly much I could say about that is there :o :rotfl:
