Me and DD were talking about games when I was a kid not so long ago. We walked past a chalked 'hopscotch' on the pavement. I said 'oh beds, haven't seen that in years' :D she said 'what's beds?' so I explained that hopscotch was called beds when I was a child and we played with a peever which ideally was an empty kiwi shoe polish tin filled with dirt :D :rotfl::rotfl:
......although I did once play with an Old Holburn tobacco tin in desperation  :rotfl: failing that, as flat a stone as you could find :o

Must admit that's a new one on me :o Not hopscotch obviously :rotfl: but I've never heard it called that before.

What was that game that involved lots of rubber bands knotted together? You used to have to land on a big string of linked up rubber bands.......I think :o
I was thinking about the double Dutch skipping rope game when I got a vague memory of that.

The knocking on doors and running away was called 'chap door run' where I was
