    I think this sentence sums it up wonderfully!

    I have 2 teenagers (16 & 13), who know that when they get asked to do something, they do it without moaning. They also know when/how to use their manners and they know that they are lucky to have the opportunities they have.

    On the other side they also know that with good,pleasant behaviour comes praise and a mutual respect - it takes both teenagers and parent to produce appreciative teenagers.
