They are a load of rubbish.0 -
Diets don't work. What works is changing what you eat and sticking to it.
I don't eat processed food with additives, biscuits, crisps, Pot Noodles, pasta, rice, potatoes, bread, noodles, popcorn, cereals etc.
Organic or at least additive free, plenty of veg, fruit, some dairy, eggs, meat, fish, seafood, poultry, game.
It's only by causing adaptation of the colons bacteria, forcing them to change that body weight can be maintained. All these crap meal replacement are meant for desperate suckers quickly parted with their money and are never very successful long term. The human body is not designed for the modern western diet, it's terribly unhealthy in many ways.0 -
I have used Slim Fast for 2 months and have lost 1 stone 9lbs. I wanted something that was a "quick result" because I am going on holiday and wanted to shift some weight.
Yes I know there are those who say they aren't healthy etc and that its impossible to maintain the loss once you start to introduce "proper" food again. I have cut my carbs down (not out though) and once I have reached my target weight, I am going to stop the shakes and up my exercise (currently do Insanity twice a week) but am going to up that to 4 times a week once I am eating "proper" food again.
Yes they aren't a long term solution, but the OP didn't say she wanted a long term one. In my opinion they work (for me!) in the short term, and help to kick start that initial loss.0
