Hi,
I need some advice. I have a sim only contract with Tmobile and paying £10.50pm. I have plusnet phone line & broadband. Phone line has been paid upfront just over a month ago. I still have a year left on my broadband.
I spoke with ee/Tmobile and they offered me a better deal if I move to them. Basically lg g2 with 1000 mins unlimited text and 10gb of 4g data - £13.99. Broadband will be £3pm and phone line will be paid up front.
They will also pay up to £100 to buy out my plusnet contract. I pay £8pm for broadband which will be £96.
He told me plusnet will pay the upfront phone line rental back minis months used. Is that correct? Will there be any other charges to pay.
I told I have to speak with Plusnet first. He will be calling me back later this evening.
Thanks
MS

"He told me plusnet will pay the upfront phone line rental back minis months used. Is that correct?"
No. Line Rental Saver or any portion of it is non refundable after 14 days from order.
"Is Line Rental Saver refundable?
You can cancel Line Rental Saver within the first 14 days after ordering and get a full refund. After this, you can cancel the service at any time, but the fee is non-refundable."0 -
As above its an advance non refundable payment at a reduced price per year as opposed to per month .0

Thanks. That's what I thought but the guy at ee was pretty sure that plusnet will refund the payment. He said as plusnet don't owe the phone line - its provided by BT so they will have to refund the payment.
He went on saying if someone paid upfront for ee phone line and wanted to cancel they will issue the refund minis months already used.0 -
Just shows what EE train their salesmen with noddys book of telephone management .I would be very wary of moving to them .0

Yeah I'd be very wary, the salespeople will tell you almost anything to get you to sign up, it's almost like they earn commision from doing so

You don't pay the full months service cost if you leave Plusnet early, with my contract if I chose to leave early each remaining month would cost me £5.75 which is less than I pay monthly for my internet services0
