Awe it's bringing back memories of Jan/Feb 07 when we visited all three cities and loved them all. maybe something to do with sunshine in OZ and freezing gales in scotland. If i was emigrating... It'd be Brisbane friendly like Scots. Sydney was fab, the opera house views, the bridge, darling harbour, manly beach... Perth our friends stay there and we filled our time well. I would visit Margaret River next time on the west coast though we did a fab Swan valley wine tour. All in all depends what you want to do and where else you are going. I can't wait to go back.... the whitsundays were my favourite though

no wonder this planet is impoding.
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...

I hope that you have a great time, I'd love to go to Sydney for the weekend!

  • Perth Perth Perth the others are so obvious
  • Definitely Sydney

You can prearrange to do a Sydney bridge walk, a definite.

    The aquarium is amazing

    Doyles Fish Restaurant a must

That would probably be enough for just a weekend, but there is so much more to do. But a word of advice if you are just there for a weekend, don't bother about Bondi Beach, really not worth it, reminds me of a seedy beach resort!

Manly Beach area is a nice place to be based, you can hire an apartment, or stay in a hotel there, and as you will no doubt be catching a ferry to see the sights you might as well stay somewhere beautiful and catch the ferry from there.
  • perth is terrible, I recommend Brisbane, it's an amazing city and unlike sydney isn't over crowded with tourists

Mine's another vote for Sydney, you could get the ferry to Watson's Bay, have some fish and chips at Doyles then walk along the coast by the gap. Brisbane is lovely too though, the southbank Parklands will be pleasantly busy, there is a w/e market (sorry thats shopping i guess?) and go for a swim by the man made beach and walk along the river to the other side of the city.

    Wish I was there......................
