    I have sown broad beans right through the summer in succession and got a crop, they don't much like being sown late, but you still get beans

    I planted mine out 2 weeks ago and they have just started to push through.

    Less than a week to start shooting in the green house.
    If you don't have a green house don't worry. Put some in pots about 4cm deep and keep moist but not wet, then just place them in a sunny window, but you have to be quick, its getting a bit late in the season.

    Do you have to pinch out runner beans when they get to the top of their climbing frame? It's so long since I've grown them I've forgotten:o . TIA.

    I have pinched mine out, read it somewhere you are suppose to do it, its to make them grown better..i think, never pinched them before gonna see if it make any difference.
