Hobbycraft late delivery, damaged goods.

Hello, I ordered some canvasses from Hobbycraft. They said they'd be here 5 days later. I only recieved them a full 2 weeks later.
They apologised and gave me a refund, but now the items have arrived in a smashed up box and are damaged.
This has cost me potentially over £1000 in business as an artist and I have waited in for most of last week waiting for the items.
They only told me they'd be late when I contacted them after the original delivery date had passed, then the 2nd one they assured me of passed also.
Is there anything I can do?
I am lothe to return them now as it will no doubt take forever to get a reply and then there's no guaruntee that I will get the replacement items in good condition.
Thanks in advance.
