I am posting this here as grannydot had a lot of activity on this board, and I suspect more than a few friends.
It is with much sadness that I can tell you that grannydot (Dorothy to me and her family - I am her son) passed away last week after a catastrophic brain haemhorrage, suspected to have been caused by a sizeable aneurism. It was a very sudden illness and she was taken into hospital on Saturday, and passed away on Thursday night with me at her bedside.
She loved a bargain and was always passing on snippets from this site and in particular this forum.
Thanks to all who gave her pleasure with their advice, tips & general camaraderie over the few years she was active on here. She was a wonderful woman and a huge positive influence on her family, she will be sorely missed by all.
Gary.
