Topshop clothing on eBay- real or fake?

There is a seller on ebay - wasn't sure if I should mention the seller I.D- with a lot of topshop stock - they have two items that I really wanted from Toshop website selling at about 50% of the cost.
But how do I know if they're genuine?
Do Topshop clothes get faked on ebay at all does anyone know?
Not sure if I'm just suspicious or whether they could be knock-offs. I know we're not talking designer here but still..

Plenty of reasons they could be genuine and less that they may be fake. So no way of anyone knowing from just what you've said.
Are they labelled TopShop or Top Shop brand in the garment?

If someone is going to fake clothing, I don't think they're gonna be faking Topshop!

You'd be surprised. If they can shift enough units anything will be faked. Fruit of the Loom's cheapest plain tshirt had loads of fakes knocking about for a while.

I think they would, less chance of suspicion and topshop clothes sell really well, particularly the items which sell out quickly.

I remember watching a consumer programme once, where a vast quantity of fake budget branded teabags had been seized!

A tea 'expert' said they were "poor quality... not a bad copy!"

Lots of people sell overstock from highstreet stores.
They tend to have the lables removed to prevent people from trying to return them to store though.

It's usually a legal requirement of whoever buys them to resell. The OP did say that the item is still on sale in TopShop so that would be unlikely.

I've also seen this used in the sellers favour, they say the label has been cut out because there never was a genuine one. Seen this alot on ebay and market stalls.

Fake Topshop clothes will quite possibly be of better quality than genuine Topshop. :D
