Also I'm thinking of replacing this shed with one the same size but I'm totally confused about the measurements of my current shed as my tape measure says 3M and the sheds I'm looking at are in ft.

    Surely this is not real?

A shed like that is hardly likely to provide much in the way of security even if it was new.

I don't have anything of value in it. I am more worried about rain getting in.

no idea what sort of measure you`re using but that shed looks like a 6ft X 4ft..apx 183cm X 122cm
if you want to replace it your best bet would be to go and look at some, maybe B+Q or some such place to get an idea of the size you need/want.
that way you won`t need to measure and can then find your best price online afterwards.:money:

    Thanks.

At last someone that is actually helpful :T

If you're trying to learn DIY, measuring will be useful.

Does rain get into your current shed?. It looks ok. Fixing any roof leaks and a coat of wood preserver would be cheaper than a new shed.

It's hard to see how it's helpful to say it looks like 183cm when you measured it and it's 3m. I give up.

OP, don't get too hung up on the measurements. I'm guessing that your tape measure is 3 metres long, that's not the size of the shed ? 3 metres is very roughly 10 feet.

Most measurements are done in metric these days, but things like sheds and fence panels are still often referred to in feet. If you look carefully, you'll see things advertised as "6 feet by 3 feet", but they'll also have the measurements in metres and centimetres.

Don't worry about it. If you want to convert between metric and imperial, there are any number of calculators online. But if you're just looking for a like-for-like replacement, by far the simplest thing is to measure your existing shed, both in metric and imperial format ( your tape measure will have both both on it ), write these down, go to the shop, and you can compare sizes in whatever units they're describing it in.

I never said the shed was 3m it's my tape measure that's 3m. Please stop bullying a woman that hasn't got a clue about DIY and has nobody to ask but this board :(

    Thank you so much :T

My shed measures 210 x 150. I presume that's centimetres although not sure tbh :o

    210 x 150 =

    6.88 ft x 4.92 ft

    Or about 6 ft 10 1/2 inches x 4 feet 11 inches

That will be classed as a 7 x 5 foot shed.

Your existing shed could easily be renovated with a bit of tlc. A few coats of preservative and maybe new roof felt.

Could I replace it with a 6 x 4 shed as they seem pretty cheapish compared to the 7 x 5 ones?
