Quote to fix aircon - reasonable?

Forget going to all these fast fit places, it wont end well. Find yourself an aircon specialist (round by me, there is a guy who works out the back of his van, what he doesn't know about aircon systems isn't worth knowing and hes fantastic) regas cost me less than £50 and the condenser not much more than that. He even fixed a piece of holed pipework for me for no charge. Well worth finding a decent independent specialist and getting the job done right first time
Nailed it. What he said :T"We act as though comfort and luxury are the chief requirements of life, when all that we need to make us happy is something to be enthusiastic about” – Albert Einstein0 -
Best advice here is from bigjl.
Obviously knows what he is talking about, saved me a long post with the same information!I think this job really needs
a much bigger hammer.

Good point.
When I changed the condenser it was obviously empty and I didn't get involved with the gases they were refilled at a garage.0
