Damnnnn, gutted for Costa Rica. Really wanted them to win and really wanted the sub goalie thing to make Louis van Gaal look a muppet for doing it.

On the other hand that keeps Louis van Gaal in Brazil for another week so he can't be doing any work over at The Swamp.

Frustrating game to watch in normal time -much better in extra time.

Robben, when fouled once, executed a perfect triple somersault with pike, scoring a perfect 10.00 for artistic merit.

Brave decision to sub the keeper but paid off (can understand Maine's obvious dislike of Van Gaal - I'm not keen on him either!)

Feel sorry for Costa Rica but Holland will probably give the Argies a tougher game

Anyway great match and louis van is a genius, no other manager has the balls to do that it was crazy, but it worked.

Costa rica simply didnt do enough to win in the first 105 mins, you cant expect to win matches after getting your first corner after 115mins.

I think Germany will easily beat Brazil in normal time 3-1,
And Arg V Holland will probably go to penos, id say (4-3 overall to arg)

Then final Germany 2 Argentina 3 in normal time.

Our apt was in ishelstein just outside the main part of the city, sold it a few years back, I've quite a large wedge on Holland to win, so far I've been lucky as Germany I also had a fair whack on. I want a Brazil Holland final x the rabbits called zidane I love the top players in Europe very impressive.

I think Brazil will do very badly, not because neymar and silva are truly amazing, but because without them their team is at best on a par with teams like england:rotfl:, france..

P.s Iam thinking of taking my oh to the dam for her b/day in nov, (were going to portugal, but saving that for easter instead) any tips on cheap accom, all i can find in the centre is £200+ per night:eek:
(i dont know much about the areas etc. but want to be ideally in what they would call the 'main square')

No tips as we had our own apt so never stayed in hotels, amazing city so relaxed we used to book ahead with British airways and get light for less than £50, if Holland win I'll be well over 2k up so need Holland to do it.

Martin O'Neill did it in the play-off final in '96, brought on 6' 7" goalie for the shoot-out...but Leicester scored with 30 seconds to go anyway!
