Heard people been charged €20 (£16).
Going on 2nd July for a week in the town, but don't want to fall into this trap.

Don't drink anywhere that hasn't got a clear drinks menu.
Same goes for anywhere, not just Rhodes Town.0 -
Check out the menu before you go in/sit down and be very clear about the specific drink you order.
Not been caught out by this trick but I recollect a thread on Trip advisor that mentioned a bar with parrots on perches.0 -

July most of the bars will have a strong UK presence.
Ask for a bottle/small beer AND they bring you a boot , refuse to pay, make a fuss.0 -
down on mandraki harbour many of the street cafe/bars do the boots of beer and some very fancy looking cakes and pastries and they can be expensive due to the location
as above have a look at the drinks menu before ordering if you are not sure
on places like bar street in Rohdes town it is more focus on bottles and pints of beer rather than the fancy boots of beer, bar street in falariki is the same all shots and bottles or pints0
