Just checked out a deal on Orange's website and in the terms it seems to totally contradict itself.
'Speak Easy Free Text Trigger'
the reward claims that topping up a certain amount pcm earns you free texts the following month:
Top-up amount Free texts
£10 300
£20 600
£30 1000
However, the small print says you actually only get;
£10 top up – 50 free texts
£20 top up – 200 free texts
£30 top-up – 300 free texts
£40 top-up – 500 free texts
£50 top-up – 1000 free texts

How can they get away with this?!

Its two seperate offers.
The speak easy free text trigger offer and the speak easy bonus text top up. They are two seperate pay as you go tarrifs. Quite why anyone would want to go for the second one is beyond me, although i know you cannot use Magic numbers if you are on the Speak Easy Free Text Trigger tariff. Details of both tariffs can be found here.
