If it's all too much for you (as you seem to have your scaredy-cat hat on at the moment) ...

    http://www.parkingticketappeals.org.uk/

That's your alternative option ... £16 and it all goes away.

my apologies for being nervous, not all of us deal with these kind of things on a daily basis.
I am merely trying to understand what will happen should i lose all my appeals, which as a mother on a low income i think is understandable surely?!

Lose appeal to the parking company? (Very likely, as they almost always reject appeals anyway). Get a POPLA code.

Lose appeal to POPLA? (Very UNlikely if you get forum help). Do nothing, pay nothing. PPC cannot force you to pay without raising court action.

even MR BEAVIS cannot tell you that answer as it hasnt gone to the court of appeal yet

the correct answer is whatever happens at that hearing, or if there was a further and higher appeal after that one

you cannot expect definitive answers on this as yet as it hasnt been defined in court, as a precedent , for the future - yet !

you have been given your options and the likely outcomes, thats the best you can hope for , you have also been given the £16 alternative with parkingticketappeals who can take it on for you , especially as they have the experience you lack (by your own admission)

Thank you, I dont want to pay someone for something that i can do myself.
Was just trying to get the facts, before i commit myself to anything. I appreciate all the info and advice, just feel it could be worded in a more friendly manner sometimes - after all, if we werent nervous about doing this then we wouldnt be on here in the first place.

Appeal letter now in the postbox. Will await the rejection letter and prepare my next appeal letter.

    thanks again :)

I think when it comes to money matters that getting the basics in a matter of fact way is like you doing your job, the medicine may taste bad and you may not like what you hear but better to get the bluntly delivered facts rather than platitudes etc

this isnt facebook, this is an information forum, information is delivered in a matter of fact way devoid of human emotion, like the consultant telling you what you are doing wrong and why, its for the greater good, in this case for anyone reading it , not just you

either you pay, or you appeal and run the slight risk of failure in which case you pay more, or you dont pay and risk the high court

there is no easy way to dress that up in compassion or platitudes and I doubt MR BEAVIS would want that when he is in court, he wants a stand up barrister telling it like it is, warts and all

    good luck

Did you get free proof of posting?

There is no need to post parking eye appeals they can be done online - would suggest you also submit your appeal online in case they claim post astray.

You can scan any copy receipts or redacted bank statement as additional evidence to your appeal.

I was informed by Parking Eye at Parkex that genuine customers would have their parking charge cancelled.

    Thanks Michelle N

Blimey...after reading all the court information for the Beavis case do i even stand a chance?!?!
What actually happens if i lose all my appeals and end up having to pay anyway? Will they bump the price right up, as we barely scrape by as it is and cant afford the reduced £50 let alone if it goes up to something silly! :(
He didn't appeal so they got aggressive. You will get it cancelled by showing the receipt to PE so you should have included a copy of it (the newbies thread does tell you to include this as well as the template)! If you didn't then send the copy of the receipt as an attachment online to PE as an online appeal as well.

Next time you are back at that Retail Park (if you return!) do ask the management about the 3 hours changing to 2 hours and what they think about it all as it clearly such a change just 'feeds' the parasite firm and not the retailers. Wonder who pushed for that change then as some sort of parking space maximisation scheme...I wonder??!

Yep, got my proof of postage :) I will also submit my appeal online to be doubley safe.
Oh, i thought the advice was to not send any receipts/evidence at this stage? If it will help my chances then i will get it photocopied at work at the weekend to send off as evidence

Certainly send in a redacted copy (not original) of receipt(s) or cc/bank statements as soon as. A £30 minimum spend seems to be the threshold for a cancellation (but you won't find that on any of their 'contractual' signs ).
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
