I always find it amusing when people tell you to stop posting because you're apparently ruining a thread .... and they do this by posting it .... Irony is an understated and forgotten art, it really is !!! :)

The pompus and condescending nature of the replies made sure I wasn't about to give anyone credit for the condescending manner in which I was corrected.

Your first post on this thread wasn't in any way "pompus and condescending" was it?

Personally, I'd say you got off lightly.

Suck it up and learn from it

The simple fact is that your post was factually wrong and if anyone believed it, they may well have ended up losing money.

The simple fact is this is a forum, not a legally binding advice column, I was wrong, I've held my hands up to the fact "my opinion" wasnt correct legally but why you people want to continually troll a thread letting me and everyone else know that is plain pointless. At least my post, even if factually incorrect, was supposed to be in some way directive for the OP, you lot are simply repeating what the last one said and protracting this thread into something else and loosing the intent !!

Then accept you were wrong, apologise to the OP for trying to mislead him and then learn to only post when you actually know what you are talking about when a person asks for rights and procedures and not just for ignorant opinions...

I believe he does accept he was wrong and to be fair I don't believe he was trying to mislead anyone, he just made a mistake.

Can you guys not leave it at that and return this thread back on topic please!

Thank you Neil, I had started another reply to the others but I'll be the adult and leave it there. I hope at least the OP can appreciate my intended direction and willingness to shove this topic back on track :)

You no nothing useful about consumer law. Your advice is as useless as a chocolate fireguard and you are such a distraction to the main thread.
  • I have not found anything on here that I did not already know save for the poster who pointed out that Amazon sellers may not charge restocking fees in the initial returns. Despite this being their policy they allow sellers to do that.

The seller has not responded to any of my messages.
