Hi All.
Don't know if these can help anyone else, but bought these off Amazon and just fitted them to our upstairs windows.
We have had to have them shut, as she ( who must be obeyed !) has been pushing the windows open and climbing out onto the bays and annex roof. My heart has been in my mouth trying to coax her back in, without falling ! lol.

She is not happy that she cannot force the windows open, but at least we now have a lovely breeze running through upstairs now ! lol.
Darn Cat ! lol. You would think she was a massive cat, but she is tiny, but has the force behind her to break open the microchip cat flap, favoured on here when it is locked !

What a good idea there Rustosaurus I may have to invest in those!!!0

It will stop Degsy there driving you mad with wanting to look out the window and you not being able to open them yet !
They were so easy to fit, just try and use an electric screwdriver/drill to fit.
I have a lovely cool breeze blowing past my nether regions at the mo ( TMI ! lol)0 -
Window restrictors really are worth the investment :money: I've got 2 house cats and have fitted these to all our windows. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Window-Restrictor-Hook-Child-Safety/dp/B008MJOF8O/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1403115270&sr=8-4&keywords=child+window+locks
You can also purchase a multi pack.

I went for this type as they fit inside the window frame and can't be seen. There's a video of them in use here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h-ESyLA6I40 Obviously they don't suit all window types, but I thought I'd post them as an alternative style to the OP's

We bought one of those last week for Chaos - works perfectly and was easy to fit. I'm paranoid she can still squeeze out the gap though, even though my hand doesn't fit through unless I turn it sideways! Is also great cos we've been able to leave the bedroom window open whilst at work without worrying that intruders can get in!0

Well here is an update.....
Failed miserably. I have just had to coax her back in off the bay window roof, in the pitch black, with a Da Bird toy ! She forced it and squeezed out ! Little Git! lol.
My heart was in my mouth as she was trying to gauge whether she could make the jump to the cypress tree 10 foot away. I pushed and pushed on the window when I fitted it and it seemed fine. She must have put pressure on one side and made just enough gap to get through. Big old Victorian house here, so the drop is about 20-25 foot to the floor.
Told you she was strong !0 -
Maybe consider changing her name to Houdini....?0

I could change her name to P I T A ! lol
She has been asleep on the bed with me all night, taking over 1/2 of it and lying diagonally across her side on her back dreaming wildly as she has been squeaking and hissing all night. Worse than a kid! lol0
