USA flights

I flew from Uk to USA in 2008 and was delayed overnight in Newark.
Although we were given vouchers no Hotel was offered. Reason for delay was no aircraft available. I am entitled to compensation for my wife and myself?

start here https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4896454 and have a good read of the FAQs then post on the correct airline thread if you have further questions (note, depending when in 2008, you could be too late to do anything)0
