Anyone recommend places to eat London with teenagers

I have now booked our London trip 30 August to 1st Sept. with our 2 grandchildren who are aged 12 and 15 can anyone recommend good reasonable places to eat out which will be good value. bearing in mind the 15 year old has an appetite like a horse the 12 year old not so much. I was thinking of ordering a tastecard on a 30 day trial which i could maybe use. any ideas greatly received. we are staying in the Tower Bridge Premier Inn
thanks

Not cheap but the Hard Rock Cafe pleases everyone and its a bit of an attraction in itself with all the memorabilia on display.

I'd agree with hard rock, decent portions so probably stick with a main each.

Most of the chains have offers midweek but pizza express often do set menu offers at weekend. Some of the restaurants around theatreland also do some deals.

Maybe think about somewhere like hard rock for evening and have a cheap tesco sandwich in the park for lunch to keep costs down?
  • We enjoyed Planet Hollywood. I think you can use both Tastecards and Gourmet Society cards there and you can get free trials with both. Also Bill Wyman's Sticky Fingers looks good and Tastecard gives 2 for 1 there also. If you do get either card check out websites first as they are sometimes not accepted on weekends at some restaurants.

Eds Easy Diners are fab, there are about 3 or 4 in central London the most fun being the one in Soho (theatre end!). Milkshakes to die for with a fun vibe.

A mooch round Chinatown to eat is fun, look for places with lots of Chinese people eating in!

Have a look for "Bite Card" 20% discount at railway station bars and eateries. Also, as mentioned, "Tastecard" get the MONTH free trial. Gives you 50% off and loads of 2 for 1s. Just make sure to apply so that it covers your holiday dates. Wetherspoons have some good deals but be selective on the particular pub. Also greasy-spoons outside "Tourist" areas have good deals and daily specials.

As you've said in your other thread that you'll be travelling to and from London by train, have a look at the dining offers included in the 2-4-1 offers that susancs posted there. They include places such a planet Hollywood and sticky fingers, although note that the offers are only valid at certain days/times and that you may need to book.

Personally, although they might seem a bit boring, we find that the best value tends to be in the large country wide chains such as Pizza Hut, Wetherspoons, Nandos etc, as they seem to keep the prices more or less the same as their branches elsewhere in the country.

As an aside - note that as you are arriving and leaving by train, you can use your train tickets on any of the 2-4-1 offers for the day in between as well - just make sure you hang on to your inward ticket as you may be asked to show both bits - you'll also need to print off the coupons you might need, although you may find that you can pick up a booklet at either your local train station or Euston that shows all the offers and has half a dozen blank coupons at the back.

An excellent chain. Only a few in London, but well worth finding one.

Look at eating quite early on pre theatre deals. My teenage boys love Sophie's steakhouse and eat off their theatre or express menu.
