Yes I've been checking my basket before I checkout online as I've noticed offers haven't been working. Luckily it's been on things I can do with out so I just delete them. I know they show prices for the day you are having your shopping delivered but there are still offers that should have worked that haven't been.

so £25 is the difference? so if say they do that on the next 10 million orders, they have managed to plug a small gap.

    Every little helps! ;)

If they tell you to work out the overcharge yourself, the obvious thing to do is to make a guess and tell them £50. If they pay it you have probably made money; if they decline to, you can tell them to work it out themselves and do it properly next time. Or bill them for your time!

I have had a delivery this morning. None of the multi-buys - all of which were valid until October - were applied. Also an eCoupon was not applied. I did not get a normal delivery note just what looks like a screen print so I am guessing that the normal system was not working and some sort of inadequate fall-back system was being used instead.

    Please check your bills carefully.

The same thing occurred today as I reported above.

Its obviously an error and they have said that they will refund the difference so I dont really see what the issue is.

You were overcharged in error, they have said that they will refund the difference. Job done.

Why should Tesco get this favourable treatment?

If I was overcharged by a taxi driver then that taxi driver would have to prove it was a genuine error or risk being prosecuted.

Just like in many other trades and services.

    Consistent errors suggest more negligence.

It doesn't matter whether they agree there was an error and that they will refund, although that is obviously welcome.

There is an obvious widespread problem with this, as evidenced by so many posts on this thread, I have been over-charged countless times by Tesco.

Much less, if ever, in other similar stores.
