Finding Airports to travel from

K3lvc: That skyscanner works great now. However, it throws up a discrepancy between the flights it shows and those shown on the matrix site. Still, it is the best yet.
I get the feeling that this is probably the one I will use.
Thanks to all for their input - it is much appreciated.
Any ideas of how to find packaged tours? eg, with hotels and flights etc.

https://www.onthebeach.co.uk and https://www.lowcostholidays.com let you search by region of the UK, other than that pretty much the only way to do that sort of thing with a packaged tour is by walking into a Thomson shop. The reason I say Thomson is they seem to fly from the most regional airports.
However, I'd find the flights, then use https://www.trivago.co.uk for a hotel, and either https://www.suntransfers.com or https://www.alpharooms.com/transfersearch for transfers. Much more flexibility that way.0 -

Look at the Wikipedia entry for the destination airport and it will list all the destinations from there and what airline flies each route.0

fifeken: that is good lateral thinking. thank you.0

Jackieblack: No, Not rejected Jackie. It is all very good advice. In the case of fifeken I was merely pointing out that it was a good lateral-thinking idea. I didn't say whether it was rejected or accepted (if that is the right terminology) only that it was 'thinking outside the box'.
I hope I haven't upset you.
