Santander advice

A few years ago a bond matured and a Santander branch adviser recommended putting half of the money into a stocks & shares portfolio with Santander - with a proportion of this using my non-cash isa allowance in a stocks & shares isa. I agreed to this. Unimpressed by its growth I closed the portfolio earlier in the year, putting some into the stocks & shares isa, and the rest into the creation of a second 123 account - which is making me £30-£40 a month in interest - more in a month than it made in 3 years in the investment portfolio! My query now is whether anyone has experience of the Santander S&S ISA. Is it a good idea to keep it, or transfer it to a different bank, or move the money into my post office cash isa (1.8%)?

What were you investing in that failed to increase in value during one of the strongest bull runs that we've seen for many decades?I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.
Like all religions, the Faith of the Invisible Pink Unicorns is based upon both logic and faith. We have faith that they are pink; we logically know that they are invisible because we can't see them.0 -
What's a "bull run"? I've no previous experience of stocks and shares and this was my first post on here. I think I will might cash in the S&S isa and use it to add to my cash isa and 123 account as they seem to make more money.0
