My Virgin Media First Bill

Hi, Can anyone explain the basis of the first bill from Virgin Media, please? I am pretty confused.
The deal I accepted to join was for broadband, phone XL and TV XL plus £2.25 pm for caller display. This came to £29.75 for the first six months and rising to £49.25 pm afterwards. I had paid line rental in one go in advance. There was also free fitting and a £75 discount off the bill.
Yet, having been with them for a week I see on line that my first bill currently stands already at over £80.
Now I get that they charge you for two months on the first bill as it explains in their blurb, but what am I missing here? There is as yet no explanation of what these costs break down to as the bill has not been issued. Only a few pence for a call (again not specified or clarified but one I accept was likely made). Nothing else obviously significant.
Presumably there is a hidden extra to add to the 2 x £29.75 that I am forgetting about to account for the extra £21 or so? But how and when is the £75 discount factored in?
Just puzzled that it appears so confusing to new customers. Thought someone who had been through this might put my mind at ease.

You pay in advance, not arrears, except for your telephone bill.0

Yeah thats true with virgin you always pay a month ahead
Its a bit weird but when you get your first bill its a shock0 -
Thanks for the replies and, yes, I did understand there were two months on the first bill. But still 2 x £29.75 is less than the £81 it is saying I owe even before they have given us an actual bill.
There should be no add ons like pay per view etc. So I am just wondering where the other £20 + has come from as the way it is spelt out on their own site does not clarify.
It basically shows the -£75 discount, the minus sum for annual line rental and an 80p for chargeable calls but then says the bill is after a week £81.
Which is confusing me as 2 x £29.75 (two months at the discounted subscription) = £20 less even without the - £75 shown.
So what is bumping it up to £81 as nothing indicates this.0 -
You haven't received a bill yet, if you have reductions changes to be made then they will probably come of the bill, bit early to be having an issue with it.
But the only people who can answer it is VM, a quick call once the bill is with you is all it will take.
As long as you have the offers in writing then no problem0
